Here is an 'Practical Exercise' for you to do at home.

  1. Take time to sit down and write down all your assets. Include in the list:
     - property,
     - shares,
     - savings,
     - superannuation,
     - vehicles,
     - boat,
     - caravan, and
     - all the other leisure items and possessions you have.

  2. Identify the things that are a means to an end. Cross these off your list.

  3. Ask yourself how attached you are to any of the things remaining on the list, we will call these 'stored treasures'.

  4. Ask yourself if any of these things have come between you and God.

  5. Have any of them elevated your pride, have they been purchased for image?

  6. Have they caused you to veer off the road to the Kingdom?

  7. Have you spent time worrying about these things?

  8. Considering all this, now make a conscientious decision about what your next step is.

REMEMBER:

If you must worry, worry only for the things of today.

Mostly of our worry is over things we have absolutely no control over anyway.
