MARY AND JOSEPH GO TO BETHLEHEM
Joseph
and Mary lived in Nazareth, but God’s prophets had said that Jesus
would be born in Bethlehem. This
was a long way from Nazareth, but a law had been made that everyone must
go back to the town that their family came from.
Their names were to written ready to pay taxes.
Joseph was of the family of David, just like Mary.
So just before Jesus was born, he had to take Mary back to
Bethlehem.
